That’s interesting. I always blamed folk songs for killing poetry. Why just read the words when you can hear them with music? Apparently the music came first.

It did. This is a musical universe. And of course poetry can’t be killed, although maybe reading it can. But we’re a long way from that, I think. At least a week.
