The mind an unlit candle — no wonder there’s darkness in the world. . [ 1579 ]
This body in years — sixty-six and more. But do I really know my age? Ask the universe. Look up at the stars. . [ 1578 ]
Mist, fog, smoke — a lonely street light where the town ends and the country begins, dreaming of an affair with the moon — foolish enough — then you smile, so little you’ve changed since your youth. . [ 1577 ]
The bright light is Jupiter. Low in the sky — the ocean is there. Washed ashore, the brine-bare fir. Asphalt and surf, the shadows concur. Breath dispersed — warm where we are, cold where we were. . [ 1576 ]
Who knows? Someday, we may find the past and future really do exist, and we’ll be able to meet each other there. . [ 1575 ]
If ever I were to strike out what I don’t understand, What would stop me from striking out more each day, Until at last I’ve stricken out everything, Except my own poor ignorance? . [ 1574 ]
