Little Bird

And if we had left the oil in the ground, and the coal, and the minerals, and the gems?

If we had not cut down the trees and polluted the rivers?

If we had not altered the climate and destroyed the environment?

If we had not conquered our neighbors, and humbly learned from them instead?

If we had not created artificial intelligence, and data centers, and guns?

If we had not killed each other in the name of Christ, and God, and Love?

Little bird, gathering fluff for your nest — I ask you.

    • I would never say “always.” Even now there are some, perhaps many, who understand the difference between wants and needs — those who can see, those who have learned, those who live and move and breathe in peace. As for reasons, in our absence, they would all evaporate into thin air. One hopes in the meantime that we don’t destroy everything. There’s really no should or should not, individually speaking; either we see that everything is connected and that we are part of everything else, and that it is part of us, or we don’t.

      • So, I think everything is exactly as it should be. Truly, and I find everything perfect in this world. The bird, the wars, the beauties, the ugliness, peace and war. Because everything that exists has its reason for being. Thank you so much for this answer, my dear friend !
